We just got word and are excited to announce this years' 2012 Importfaceoff car show event at no problem raceway will have Drifting!

Drift time: 9am-12noon
Price: $10 for 5laps on the peanut'
Track: no problem raceway(NPR), Belle Rose, LA

Drifting will take place on a very fun .5mile peanut section of NPR's 1.8mile roadcourse. High speed, 70mph+! Come out, have fun, drift, spectate, and support your local drifters!

Its time for Circuit Grand Bayou's semi-annual drift event.

There will be drifting, gripping and costume contest.

Also we will have an area reserved for Hellaflush/tuners who want to meetup.

Gates open at 9 am

Open practice/drifter school at 10 am

We will do tire mounting throughout the day

Spectators/costume contest/meetup $12

Drifters $40

Grippers $25

Circuit Grand Bayou is hosting another Drift, Grip, Drag and Car show event on Saturday, May 7th 2011.

Drift/Grip runs will be 5 lap interval per car on the 1/2 mile peanut section. Cars line up at grid, then grid workers send each car out on course. Drift/Grip 5 laps then exit course, and come line back up at grid.

Major success!

Voodoo fest, Saints vs. Steelers, and Drifting - Not that this year's 2010 Halloween weekend was busy enough. The HellaFlush meet in conjunction with Circuit Grand Bayou(CGB) sanctioned Drift event at the newly owned race track turned out great. Weather was a warm 75ºF, partly cloudy day-not terrible. Many Drifters, Stanced enthusiasts, and spectators attended the event in hopes of exploiting the small local drift/hellaflush scene.

I had a rough weekend with lots of work/partying and living off of as little as 4hrs of sleep; I managed to make it to CGB late, but ready for drifting. Arrived at 10:10am and immediately unloaded and swapped wheels.

Drift practice went smooth with everyone showing progress by break time(noon). All 11+ drifters showed up in the competition, but it came down to Lance Fitzhenry beating me by a score of 94/93 that advanced him to the finals against Ian McDougall. Winning 1st, Lance outscored Ian twice in the finals, Ian placed 2nd, and I(TranMAN) placed 3rd.

Not a bad event, it was very exciting and everyone had a good time.
